Friend Rentals is a family-owned business that has provided housing in the Morgantown area to students of West Virginia University for over fifty years.  We offer safe, reasonable apartments at affordable rates, as well as luxurious suites that have all the comforts of home.  We have something for just about everyone.

Hello!  My name is David Friend.  As manager of Friend Rentals, I welcome you to our website and encourage you to thoroughly check us out.  If you are a parent of a student going to WVU, I know how concerned you are about the safety  and condition of any apartment your son or daughter might lease.  We have various apartments.  Some are nicer than others and that is reflected in the price.  However, all our apartments are offered with the safety of the tenants in mind.  We do our very best to insure that each apartment is mechanically safe.  Our apartments are inspected by the City of Morgantown building inspectors and we have a good working relationship with them.  I am sure that Mike Stone, chief building inspector, would be glad to give us a recommendation.  He can be reached at 304-284-7528.  We have maintenance personnel to handle any repairs or problems within the apartment  in a quick and efficient manner.  We do our best to make ourselves available to our tenants.  All tenants have my cell phone number which I carry with me at all times.  We are proud to offer this quality of service in the Morgantown area.

If you are a student, ask around.  Our current and past tenants are our best advertising.  We do our best to treat our tenants with courtesy and respect.  If you look at reviews on line, please keep in mind that most people who post reviews are the ones who have bad experiences.  We have standards to uphold.  If a student likes to party and stay up all night, our apartments are not a good choice.  Our lease clearly prohibits large parties at all times and loud music and noise between the hours of midnight and 7:00 AM. Each year, we have to send out warnings and even eviction notices to those who refuse to abide by these policies.  The Morgantown Police and Fire Department are very vigilant in dealing with large parties also.

We are very reluctant to allow pets in any of our apartments.  Time has shown that students are too busy to properly care for pets and even the best trained dog or cat has accidents when left by itself all day.  Security deposits rarely cover the cost of new carpeting and repairs, not to mention the cost of fumigating the apartment for fleas.

Feel free to peruse the website.  If you would like to tour our apartment email me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.   or call me at 304-296-7121.
